Being a solopreneur can be tough! Especially if you're a sensitive soul. Adding simple self-care tools like meditation tor your work flow can support your larger business strategy.

Making meditation part of your work day can help you find relief, inspiration, and a more empowered approach to running your online business.

Meditation counterbalances a natural tendency for anxiety

A simple meditation practice helps to calm your stress response and ground your nervous system.

How often do you wake up and immediately get flooded by fears and thoughts of your never-ending to do list?

As a small business owner, stress often leads your way forward.

What I mean by this is that the desire to resolve stress motivates you to take actions like:

  • open your email before you’ve properly woken up
  • post desperately on social media to "get" new clients
  • randomly create a new offer even though it’s not part of your marketing strategy
  • continue working even though your body hurts
  • say yes to clients even though you want to say no

When you repeat actions like these day after day, running your business starts to suck.

And you quickly find yourself on the road to exhaustion, bitterness, burnout and dreams of abandoning it all.

Who WANTS to feel stressed out all the time?? NO one. Especially not a gentle souls like us!

Meditation helps you show up from a more authentic, empowered version of yourself

When you feel more calm, when your nervous system feels safer and more grounded, you think, feel and act differently.

It’s like realizing that you’ve been pressing hard on your car’s gas pedal without knowing it.

When you pull your foot off the accelerator just a bit, your ride smooths out. Instead of bumping around wildly, swerving to miss the next obstacle, you’re cruising.

You have time to observe, respond, and enjoy.

You still get where you’re going, but the journey feels so much more easeful.

AND you behave differently in your business:

  • You have boundaries around email and only check it during email "office hours"
  • You follow a predetermined strategy for posting on social
  • You optimize your current offers methodically until they work well for you
  • You take a break or end the day early when your body sends you messages of fatigue or pain
  • You lovingly say "no" or "later" to clients and feel good about it

This changes the results you get from your efforts.

This self-care habit helps you to start the day in a calmer, more intentional state - as a counterbalance to morning stress and anxiety.

By taking time to meditate and create calm, you're turning your business into a space where you get to practice being an empowered, authentic you.

Isn't this a beautiful foundation to build your business on?
